Hello. Hello. Hello. And welcome to Perfect Body podcast. I am your host, Shirah Chante, Relationship Artist, healing hearts through the arts and helping God's people with relationships. So happy to be here to study the Torah. I love studying the Bible. It is amazing to study the Bible. Studying the Bible will never be underrated in my life.

Yes, the presence of God is wonderful, but God is the Bible. This is the presence of God. This is the way you get close to God. And so it is just, that's why I'm so adamant about encouraging people to read it, to listen to it. You can listen to an audio Bible. You can.

There's so many ways you can get in touch with the word of the Lord in this day and age of digital efficacy, our world is a digital world now. And so it's easy to read the Bible and it's a good time to do that. And so that's why I'm here. I started this podcast because I. Love story and studying the Torah when I started studying the Torah when I was 24 years old and And it was wonderful.

It was wonderful to just be in community with people who also want to study the Bible and we're asking questions to God and just really, we're just trying to know God and getting to know him as our heavenly father. And it's just so wonderful to love him in this way by. Studying the word of God, if you don't know, I'm going to tell you, the Bible says he who diligently seeks me will find me and reading the Bible, reading the Torah is diligently seeking the Lord.

It also says he is a rewarder of him who diligently seeks me. So as we're seeking God through his word, we are definitely going to get a reward. We, he will reward us for what we are doing for our hard work, for our diligence. In reading the Bible, and I know there's a lot of books out there, and many of you who are professionals, you read.

All kinds of books that really pump you up and help you with your career and life. And that's wonderful. So do I, but put in there a little time to read the Bible. You don't have to read it like all in one week. This is something that you just do ongoing and you might just want to study one topic or see what the Bible says about a particular subject.

And really one verse a day is all you need because it's so powerful. So it's not like other books where you read the whole book and it's Oh, you get something out of it. And yes, it helped you, but after a while that fades away, the Bible actually sticks with you and you really only have to read, like I just said, one verse and you're on your way.

And that verse can stick in your head. It can help you and give you some wisdom for your day and your job and your career and your family. As a mom, there's so many different ways the Bible can help you and guide you in your daily life. So the Torah is what we're reading. We're in the book of Exodus chapter 13 is where we start today, verse 17.

And this is when God breathes. of Israel out of Egypt for good. So they already escaped last week was Torah portion bow. This is a Torah portion afterthought. So we're one week behind the rabbinical schedule, and I just want to thank you so much for just being here with me. And Bo, the children of Israel escaped at midnight.

There was a great cry in the land of Egypt because there was someone dead in every single home God went through. He sent the angel of death to kill all the firstborn of the children of Egypt so that his people would escape the land of Pharaoh. His heart was hardened and he would not let the children of Israel go.

So God wraught did a final deliverance to get the children of Israel out so that they could pursue their destiny so that they could go and worship the Lord God. And so this is why we can see. Yes, that was very drastic that he killed someone, that there was a firstborn in every home that died, that was very drastic.

So that should tell us something about destiny and how important it is for God to fulfill his destiny through his children, what he has promised, what the Lord has promised he will do, and it might be. Not so pretty sometimes as in the case here with Pharaoh, but he gave him many chances. This was the tenth and final play.

He had nine chances before to relinquish, to, wave the white flag, but he would not. And at that time there's only one thing to do. I must go through Egypt. Kill the firstborn and that did it until there's going to be things that happen in life that hey I've given this person this many chances Finally, this is what has to happen because I must be delivered.

You must be delivered. You have to complete your destiny. You have to do what it takes To live your life according to the will of God that he has for you and the Lord God wanted his children to be free, to worship him. He doesn't want them to be caught up in bondage and so downtrodden that they can't even read a verse a day.

My God, you can't even read one, one little verse, one little verse of the Bible, because you're Oh, my labors are so hard and, Oh God, I had to work all day and, Oh, that's not what God wants. He wants us to be free and fresh to worship him in spirit and in truth. And so we move on to the Torah portion, Beshalach.

This is where God parts the red. See, you may have heard of the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea. Maybe you saw it the Prince of Egypt? It's a Disney movie, which is, which illustrates the parting of the Red Sea very well. And if you haven't seen the Prince of Egypt, you should watch it. It's a very good movie.

And it, it tells the story of Moses leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. Through the Red Sea, and so I'm going to read a few verses that, that talk about this miracle. And I'll share a little bit of a song I sang, or I wrote about maybe just a chorus and it's called Park the Sea. I just thought about that.

So let's see what verses we want to read. Exodus chapter 14, and we're going to read starting at,

oh yes, this show is called See the Salvation of the Lord. I have something to share with you, a very important testimony about that. I'm going to read this scripture, Exodus chapter 14, verse 12.

Let's start at verse 11, they said to Moses, these are the children of Israel. Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us and bringing us out of Egypt? It's not this, what we said to you in Egypt, leave us alone. That we may serve the Egyptians for it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.

You see how they're thinking they're still afraid it's because Pharaoh's army is coming after them now that they've gotten their wits about them. I, they have. gotten away from the shock of having the firstborn die. And they're like, Hey, Pharaoh's what are we doing? We're going to go and get these Israelites.

And so there's, the people are scared now because Pharaoh's 600 horses and chariots are coming after them. They're not warriors. They're just people, God's people walking, getting freed from Egypt. And so it's right that they would be afraid. I probably would be too, if I was one, if I was them in that situation, it's a scary situation.

So let's see how Moses responds. This is verse 13, Exodus chapter 14. And Moses said to the people, fear, not stand firm and see. The salvation of the Lord, hallelujah, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you and you have only to be silent, ah.

The silent stance is powerful. I am working, I'm writing a book on meditation now and the practice of meditation that I've been through in my life and one of the things I talk about in the book is the importance of silence and how silence can be very powerful. Sometimes we think we just got to talk talk, talk our way out of things, right?

People like that in your life, or maybe you're like that. You just gotta, you think you can just talk your way out of everything, but sometimes you just need to be silent and allow the Lord to work. Remember I was saying God will fight your battles for you. And here he's saying, the Lord will fight for you.

This is true. And so let's continue on. In verse 15, the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward, lift up your staff. And stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground. And I will go. And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, so that they shall go in after them, and I will give glory over Pharaoh and all his hosts, his chariots, and his horsemen.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots. And his horseman. Hallelujah.

And that's exactly what happened. God got glory over Pharaoh. And the next section here, and still in Exodus chapter 14, Moses does what the Lord says.

Verse 26. Then the Lord said to Moses, stretch out your hand over the sea. That the water, oh, wait, that's a little bit further verse 21, then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry and the waters were divided and the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

Amazing. So the sea split. It's like a wall. This is a wall. The children of Israel are in between this wall, walking through on dry ground. So the ground isn't even wet. This is a miracle. And the children of Israel escape. The Egyptians run after them. And then when the Egyptians run into the sea after them, guess what happens?

Let's find out. Now we go to verse 26. Then the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal course, when the morning appeared.

And as the Egyptians fled into it, the Lord threw the Egyptians into the midst. Of the sea, the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen of all the hosts of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea. Not one of them remained, but the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

Thus the Lord saved Israel that day. From the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians. So the people feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and His servant, Moses. Woohoo! Yay! Hallelujah! Way to go, God.

You're awesome. Isn't this wonderful that this miracle happened for the children of Israel, and God will do the same miracles in your life today. It may not look like this, and you might not have an actual seed to walk through, but He will do miracles in your life to free you from all of this. Any and all bondages you might have, it could be bondages of sex addiction or pornography or a drug addiction, alcoholism just any kind of bondage you might have in your life.

Lord God, I just pray right now, Lord, I let the faith of this word get into the hearts and minds, the soul of the people who are viewing this, that they see this great God who can. Split the Red Sea who can deliver his people from bondage as they walk on dry ground that same God has the power today to deliver them from any and all bondage that they may find themselves into if they just believe just say, Oh, God.

Deliver me from my bondage, deliver me name, whatever you're going through, name it, deliver me from alcoholism, deliver me from sex abuse, deliver me from whatever you're going through.

And Father God, I ask that you do what these people are asking you to do so that they will see. The deliverance and they will know that you are the Lord and believe in you in Jesus name I pray. Thank God. Thank God. Thank God. Hallelujah. Woo. I want to share with you a testimony just to further encourage you about God's delivering

There was a time in my life where I was married and I was going through a tough time in my marriage at that time. And I wanted to file for divorce. I didn't know what to do. It was a very sticky situation. And so the Lord told me three things. He said, no divorce. You're free and see the salvation of the Lord.

And I said, okay, so I was obedient. I had seen a lawyer one time. I was thinking, like I said, I was thinking about just getting this over with, but I canceled that. I said when the Lord spoke to me and he said, no divorce, I obeyed him. And then he says, you are free. And then I, he, I was, went through a separation period from this my ex husband with my children.

And we lived freely and see the salvation of the Lord. And he delivered us out of the tough situation and we were able to live freely for about three years, I think it was, we were able to live freely and then, and that was wonderful. And then some things had to happen, but God delivered us out of that.

Situation. And he delivered me and my children from an abusive. situation. And he will do the same for you. Yes, he will. Oh, God. He's wonderful. He's wonderful. So I'm going to share my song, as I promised. It's called Part the Sea. And this is the chorus. Part the sea, jubilee.

Walk on through

victory. Watch the waters one over the enemy part. The sea

part, the sea

part to sea. That's the course of the song, and I thank God for parting to see in your life. In my life, we see the salvation of the Lord. May you see the salvation of the Lord in your situation. Maybe someone's going through a divorce like I was going through. Let the Lord give you that same promise that you are free.

That, allow His hand to, to hold you and trust you through this time. And see the salvation. of the Lord. And I know that what the Lord told me may not be your same situation. Every situation is different. That's why we need to hear and spend time with him. And I'm so looking forward to releasing my book on meditation so I can help people spend time with the Lord and to hear him.

And so I'll keep you abreast of that as it is happening. And that is the Torah portion B'Shalach and we will return again next week with the next Torah portion. B'Shalach means when he let go. That is the, actually the first, when Pharaoh let the people go. That's what that is referring to.

Next week we'll be back with Yitro. That's the Torah portion that started this Shabbat, this Saturday, and we will be. Looking at that one next time on Perfect Body Podcast.
